Consensus mechanism and the classification of Blockchain networks

We know that Blockchain is a distributed decentralized network that provides immutability, privacy, security, and transparency. The nodes in the Blockchain network are distributed and independent of each other and there is no central node to ensure that the ledgers on the distributed nodes are the same. It is difficult to achieve consistency in such an environment. Therefore, a consensus mechanism is needed to ensure that the ledgers at different nodes are consistent. At the same time, based on consensus mechanisms and usage requirements, there will be different types of Blockchain networks. This report will outline some common approaches to achieving consensus in Blockchain and classifying Blockchain networks.
