The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics focuses on research in Mathematics, Informatics, and their applications in other sciences as well as in practical issues of nature, economy, and society. Its research directions not only address core problems in Mathematics and Informatics but also explore their connections with other sciences and real-world challenges. The main research areas include:

Optimization and Control

The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics maintains close collaboration with domestic and international research institutes in Mathematics and Informatics, such as the Institute of Mathematics (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), Hanoi National University of Education, VNU University of Science, Graz University of Technology (Austria), and the University of Rouen (France). In addition, the Faculty also cooperates with research institutions in other sciences, such as the National Economics University, Hanoi University of Public Health, and the French National Institute of Agronomy, in related applied research projects.
